I hope yours was as well if you celebrate Thanksgiving. I had good food and watched some great football and worked on cross stitch and my crochet blanket. This is Sandra Paul's free pattern on her Cherry Heart website or on Ravelry. It is 28 squares across and 24 down. I have 2 more squares to go and I will be finished with row #1 of 24 which are all joined together. I am using the Join As You Go (JAYG) method that she has instructions for. I've used several of her knitting and crochet patterns and they are very well written and super easy to understand.
This is a picture of her finished blanket since I can no longer upload photos from my camera.....I had to order several yarns but she used Style Craft Special DK and I had many of them already. A few I substituted for other DK yarns to get the right colors. It's very enjoyable, easy to memorize and just the project I needed for when I watch t.v.
I also got in on some Black Friday online deals and watched the Chiefs win again!!! Yay!
Today, I am putting the Advent gifts in order and wrapping. I have one more gift that is to arrive Tuesday but I can get the rest ready. How are you doing on your decorating and gift wrapping? It's a good time to do it as there are plenty of leftovers and no cooking required for a few days at least!
Happy Trails!!!

I like that Join as you go pattern too, I mad e a lap afghan with that pattern, I just used up scrap yarn:) Yeah for you decorating already!
I absolutely love that afghan. All my favorite colors. It sounds like you enjoyed making it, too.
Darn camera. If it is not one thing, it's another, isn't it. We had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and extended family and I am just starting to make a very small dent in Christmas.
Happy Thanksgiving to you. I love Sandra's projects. She's so talented. No tree up yet. Maybe this week.
Thanks for the info on the pattern. I have a lot of scrap yarn to use up.
Congratulations on getting your decorations up. I had hoped to have all of mine done by Saturday night after Thanksgiving. I had a very good reason for meeting my self-imposed deadline. Hoping to share it on the blog tomorrow (Tuesday).
That is such a pretty blanket. I also like the join as you go method of joining squares and use it a lot. I haven't decorated at all. Our kids were here until Saturday night from London and I've been sick since before they left. Absolutely no energy to do anything. I think I may break down an go to the walk in clinic tomorrow if I'm not better. It's not covid but I can barely swallow water. I haven't even been reading blogs. First because I was so bus with the kids and now because I'm exhausted.
Blessings,
Betsy
