Nice day yesterday but stromy weather ahead!

It was so nice yesterday and Luther and Shawn came and mowed the lawn for the first time.

I got some new sheets and guess who had to be the first to try them out..........

I made lemon bars and finished another book.  I am 8 books ahead of my Good Reads Challenge!  This book I've had for years but I will not read Oprah recommended books.  They are always about sexual assault of some kind and why she would gravitate to those types of books when she was assaulted several times, is beyond me.  It was a family saga and well written but no more Oprah for me! LOL!

The woodpecker was all over the bird feeder yesterday.  He came back 3 or 4 times!  There's a smaller downy woodpecker too but this was the big guy.....

The weather radio just went off so I best wrap this up.  We have every kind of warning you can imagine for the next 4 days!  This is a first...I think I should just move to the basement...permanently!  But if the power goes out and we get the predicted 12 inches of rain, I will be knee deep in water when my sump pump doesn't work!

Stay safe everyone!

Happy Trails!!!

Hope you are keeping safe, warm and dry! Your weather is headed my way. They cancelled the tornado warning test and warned everyone that if they hear it - it IS a tornado warning. We had 1" of rain in the first hour of the first storm. It is soupy out there. I do believe we were told today would be cloudy with a high of 70. What a joke on us. It is still in the 40's but feels colder with the wind and rain. Bah humbug.
LOVE the sheets!

Stay safe! Those sheets look cozy. And kitty seems to agree.

Gorgeous sheets - I hope the cat approves!
Good luck with all that rain. Australia has had a fair share of over the top weather lately too.
Stay safe!

Kitties can never ignore when sheets are being changed. I used to get the Oprah's Choice books, too -- but care nothing about her or them anymore. Funny, I had that book for years and years and never read it so recently gave it away. I read mostly non-fiction now so if I'm not gonna read something, it's outta here. It seems April is starting off rather rocky all over. Talked to my youngest son yesterday who is in Denver and he said in one day they got all seasons throughout the dayt -- starting with an electrical storm and ending with snow. Hope it won't be too bad where you are. Take care.

I loved Joyce C Oates' books long before Oprah did!
