This time I had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)...not fun and very painful but it's over hopefully. I've never had it before and they say certain foods can trigger it. I had some brownies which I haven't had in years so I am guessing that might have caused it. I was napping constantly and could barely get daily chores done. The back slows me down enough but I will keep rising up to face another day....hopefully.
We have had rain, rain, and more rain and now my porch roof is leaking. No Memorial day activities around here. We have storm after storm with strong winds and lightening and thunder. I enjoy it as long the power stays on.
I did finish my son's memorial cross stitch. The gal had long blonde hair...I changed it as best I could to my gray bun. I also do not go barefoot or wear dresses but I let that part go as I am no cross stitch designer! I still need to get it framed. I thought it was 5 years this July but it will be 6! I can't seem to keep up with anything.
I'm still working on the crochet blanket in the evenings and a few other XS projects and knitting on the 2nd Christmas sock of the pair.
I hope you are able to enjoy the long weekend. Here's a little word to the wise..............
Happy Trails!!!

My goodness Sam. Another issue? I feel so badly for you. You work so hard that your body is protesting.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Ok Sam. No more icky health issues. IBS is not a joy at all. It doesn't seem like 6 years since the passing of your son. Sounds like you have some very nice projects on the go.
I'm sorry you've been dealing recently with IBS, Sam. I'm with Marsha... it doesn't seem possible that it's been 6 years since your son passed. That is beautiful memorial piece you've cross stitched.
I wish I could work hard....those days are a distant memory! LOL!
I'm with you! I think God is nickle and diming me to death...literally....but I'm still here, ambulatory and able to live independently....still lots to be grateful for!
Thank you for your comment. I have been so bad about blogging and visiting others blogs. I hope you are doing well. I know you have had your own health issues. When I think of all the years we bloggers have known each other, it is amazing! I'm still working on de-cluttering.....lol!
Oh no not another health problem, enough already. Your crossstitch is lovely. Hang in there Sam:)
I think we should all join a club for "the sick and tired"!
What a lovely testament to your son. It doesn't seem possible that much time has passed. I know it means a lot to you to have it finished.
I'm so sorry you were ill again. You have head enough turns!!! Enough!! You deserve a break!!! Glad you are doing better and hope it keeps up!
I'm so sorry read about your bout with IBS but glad to hear you are feeling better. Very nice cross stitch piece in memory of your son. Your little word to the wise had me laughing...so true!
Retired LVN here...you don't have IBS...or you would have already experienced symptoms many times, before now. Either you ate the brownies, and they didn't agree with you or you just had a simple stomach virus...both fleeting.
Hope you feel better soon
Donna
That is beautiful memorial piece for your son. I think I agree with Donna - IBS isnt something that starts & stops.
