Great week!!!

It's been a good start to Fall (meteorological Fall that is, which starts on September 1st).  It's very hot and dry here although we had a little rain yesterday.  They delivered propane on Monday, and I called Generac whole house generators and they're coming out on the 19th.  I spent the week working on finances and budget and discovered that my house insurance had gone up by 1/3!  I called the agent and told her she needed to find me another as I was not paying that amount!  Anybody have any suggestions?

I went uptown for some errands and discovered there  had been a fire in our little mall that is connected to the grocery store.  There was a new restaurant that had opened and they're thinking that may have caused the fire.  Not sure when or if things will reopen.

I made some potato soup and jello with fruit, signed up for a drawing on Nicole Sporl's flosstube channel, and cut and hemmed all the Halloween XS projects.  I watched Iowa lose last week to Iowa State but last night they won, at home against UMass.  Iowa's been in the 90's and even warmer than here at times.  Hopefully we will all cool off soon....I  don't like fire danger.

I also spent some time on Fall videos  on You Tube...especially Shelby's Cottage.....so cute!  Her decorating and prepping for Fall is so inspiring and cozy!

Yesterday I ordered groceries which they delivered today.   I've been doing some handwork and here it is...........I finally finished last years Christmas socks........

I worked on Hazel a bit but needed to set her aside for the Halloween ornaments and some Fall stitching...here is Halloween ornament #1.  I'm not sure if I will make 2 the same or choose a different one for the 2nd.  It's more interesting for me to stitch a different one the second time but we'll see.  The ghost is the one I am working on.  This is 32 count so it is small.......I can see it with readers on.  I refuse to get expensive lights and magnifiers....if I can't see it I won't stitch  it.

This my Fall stitch carried over from last year.  I worked on it this week but need to order some more floss........

I started my witch silhouette but there wasn't enough to bother showing you.  I still work on my crochet blanket in the evening and I've been knitting dishcloths when I watch football as they are simple to work on.

That's all for this week except for a few Fall inspirations...........BTW, the meteorological Fall starts September 1st!  Pay no attention to the 90 degree weather....just turn up the AC until you have to put a sweater on and drink something warm.

Happy Trails!!!
