Happy June!!!

Things are going  pretty well.   The cleaning gal last week was awesome!  She loaded all the boxes I had packed for the Thrift store into my car and I took them Tuesday.  They unload it there for me so I was able to get rid of a lot!  The only problem is the bridge is out in Ash Flat and won't be rebuilt until October so it takes twice as long to get there and back by taking a detour.

We have had so much rain that my hydrangeas are loving it!  One is as big as a dinner plate!  I don't do anything to the soil but I get the different colors anyway....they're gorgeous!

I'm getting ready to have company this Tuesday.  My daughter, Grayson, and Amy's SIL.  Sam can't come as he has to take an EMT exam.  He's a junior in HS but he's been taking EMT classes at the local community college.  He passed the practical exam but now has the written.  He wants to get a job for the summer too.  So, I'm busy but slow as a slug.  The cleaning gal comes tomorrow which will be great.

I feed the birds but all I get are crows, squirrels, raccoons, bluejays, and red headed wood peckers.  The squirrels take over the feeder so there's no room for the birds.  I sprinkle some on the ground trying to cover all the bases.  The deer come at night and clean up the rest...lol!  The hummers are eating/drinking like crazy.

Well, I'm off to continue cleaning and prepping for company.  Oh, I'm loving my new Shark vacuum too!

Happy Trails!!!

Hi Sam, I'm just catching up after missing your last post. The past month since Mom died has gotten away from me. With the memorial service over now, maybe life will get somewhat back to normal.
Your hydrangeas are gorgeous. All of those beautiful colors together. So pretty. The cross stitch for your son turned out perfectly too. I think you did a great job on the lady.
You got a cleaning lady? Lucky you! Our place isn't big and you'd think it would be easier to keep up with but we just have too much stuff again. You'd think after five moves in 4 years I would have wittled things down but we have a bunch of Mom's stuff now to go through. Congrats to Sam. An EMT is a very important job. You must be proud of him. Have fun with your company.
We're camping in southern Missouri for one more day. Tomorrow we head to Louisville, KY for a few days, then Mammoth Cave. It's been raining a lot on us too.
Blessings,
Betsy
