Book haul!!!

Treasures from Thrift Books came today!  Don't worry....I have gotten rid of way more books than I have purchased and there are more to go! LOL!

I got the 3rd book in the Cobbled Court series which I really enjoy........it's about quilters but more than that it is about women's friendships.........I highly recommend!

I also got the 4th book but it came with 3 other books........I have read Half Broke Horses and it is a fabulous book about the author's grandmother growing up out West when the West was still wild.....amazing story....another highly recommended book.
I also got this book and there is a series.  It is an old series about an English Village called Fairacre.  Jan Karon who wrote the Mitford books gave it high praise!  So, of course, I have to read them.  The Mitford books are some of my very favorite books.
I also had some books on my wish list that came in.....so I snapped them up!

I'll be cozying up with those books tonight.

The trees are changing every day and I have the windows open and I am overjoyed with this Fall season.......it's not as pretty as yours, Connie but maybe we'll get there eventually!

Happy Trails!!!

Great haul of interesting books, especially the quilting ones. Autumn has certainly arrived here and now everyone is worried about their escalating heating bills. People everywhere are set to have a very bad time over winter. unless you're an oil baron, or married to one!

Nice selection of books. Will be fun to see if you make any of those small quilts.

Those all look like great books. Dennis and I both have read most of the Mitford series books and have just received two more. I took 77 paperbacks and a pile of old albums to a second hand bookstore last week. Would you believe they only gave me $2.11 for the lot of them? Oh well, I put it toward another book for Dennis. :-)
Take care my dear Sam. I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately and will try to do better.
Blessings,
Betsy
