I got my 2nd vaccine shot!!!!

I got it on Wednesday and then Thursday I had an appointment to take my car in.  I sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours with 2 masks on while 7 -10 people walked through with no masks....I then had to pick up my prescriptions at the drive-up where they do not wear masks either.   I think I am the  only one in this town that takes Covid seriously!  There was an older man (older than me) who came in  using a cane but no mask!  I felt like I had to disinfect my entire car and I'm not sure I got it all.  It is exhausting but I got my oil changed, new wiper blades, fluids topped and tires checked and filled.  I got home and went to bed! LOL!  I slept until 4:30 when my daughter called and woke me up.  I watched some t.v., had some supper and it was lights out at 8:00 p.m.  I slept the entire night.  I feel great today but I definitely think that the tiredness was from the shot.  It's too coincidental!  I'm curious if any of you have experienced that reaction?

I am making soup today and doing laundry.  It is raining out and I am cross stitching on my "breaks".  No pictures...but Sunday I'll be back!

Happy Trails!!!

Got my 2nd too - my side effect was extreme laziness! (and just a little tenderness where the needle went in)

How nice you finished up your vaccine. We finish ours up on Tuesday. My friend said she was sick for 24 hours after hers (fever, aches, fatigue) but was fine as soon as theb24 hours were up. She had the Moderna vaccine. Hubby and I are getting Pfizer.

As for masks.....mask are required at all our places of business here. If you don't have one on, one will be given to you. Each state has their own requirements.

Masks are required EVERYWHERE here and you are not allowed in without one. They take it seriously. They just opened our restaurants, but only at 20% capacity. They've been closed for dine in for a year!
Yes, the tiredness is very common from what I've been told. Especially for the moderna vaccine. My best friend had moderna. After her second shot she was home from work for 2 days with fever of 101.8, chills, headache, extreme tiredness and bodyaches. She said even her teeth hurt.
I just made Dennis an appointment for Monday afternoon for his first injection. I still can't get one.
Get lots and lots of rest. You can cross stitch in bed!
Blessings and gentle hugs,
Betsy

Nobody was allowed into the hospital without a mask where I got my first jab. Plenty supply of masks provided for those that needed them. My sister said look out for the tiredness with the second jab.Have a peaceful weekend my friend.

I had the Moderna. They all had masks on where I was vaccinated but not at the pharmacy or the car place. We have a mask mandate but evidently it makes no difference.

I had the Moderna and I did have the chills and the extreme tiredness but if that's all I feel lucky! Fine the next day! Oh, I had a slight headache too.

Same here but it is the businesses here that don't wear masks. I only do driveup at the pharmacy and pickup at Walmart but I really needed to get my car in. I pray that wasn't a mistake!

My state has a complete mask mandate and more people are wearing them. Unfortunately they wear them under their nose and under their chin. And some don't wear them at all. A local diner has said they may have to close because they aren't even getting their social distanced customers. Unfortunately, other than a few quick trips to the grocery, we dont' patronize any local businesses. I don't trust the anti maskers and I have to assume they are customers at the restaurants. I have seen clerks at the grocery quick pull theirs up when they see me. It is all so sad.

Both my husband and I got our 1st shots on 2/22 and we were fatigued for a couple of days. I'll take it for the protection. We get our 2nd on 3/17. I still plan on wearing masks when I go to the doctor's office or to get labs. I am sad that mask wearing was made a political issue by the doofus. How much better if it had been presented as a life saving impact.
