Rockin' and Rollin'!!!

It so nice to feel good!  I'm getting quite a bit done...nothing like being 'laid low' to inspire you to get things done when you are feeling better, and feeling better I am.  I took Grace to the vet in Missouri Monday and the road I usually take can flood so I went the long way around and what usually takes an hour took me 1 hour and 40 minutes!  Whew!  I did take the usual route home and there was no flooding  and it did not storm at all!  Thank you, Lord!  She got a rabies shot and an antibiotic shot.  They will not groom her without the rabies shot.  Tomorrow she goes to get groomed and it is supposed to be a nice day...it's storming here now.  The only thing I worry about now is fog! LOL!  It is hot and humid here and I have to leave about 7:30 a.m. and it can be foggy with all the rain and humidity.  I have never seen a winter like we've had nor a spring like this one....little sunshine, lots of rain and gray days.   Actually, I don't mind it at all unless I have to drive through it.

I did receive some darling little treasures which made me so happy..........Poppy and Cotton fabric called Hopscotch and Freckles......so vintage and so cute! I got a charm pack...........

I also got a panel which there are so many things I can do with.............it's quite large...I couldn't fit it all in the picture...........

I've continued cleaning and organizing but I've also had to rearrange my eating habits and menu but it's working well.  Yesterday I went uptown and got a rotisserie chicken and some more fish fillets.  I am very careful though!  This afternoon I'll be cleaning out the 2 cupboards in the laundry room, finding some yarn for a project and vacuuming.  I hope your week is going well so far.

Happy Trails!!!

So glad you are feeling better. I am a big fan of rotisserie chicken. Unfortunately my husband is not. I see so many recipes that use it, but I like to just eat the hot chicken the first night and then make sandwiches or put it the cut up pieces on some lettuce.

I just love that panel! It looks kind of vintage and so cute!

Nice to hear you are feeling so much better. We are in dire need of rain here. Hopefully our monsoons will bring some moisture this year.

I'm glad the trip to teh Vet was uneventful, even if it was longer than normal. We've had a couple of rainy days in the past few weeks but most of our rain has fallen in the evening and at night. That makes it nice. We have only had to water the plants a few times so far. It's supposed to be in the 90's by next week though so I expect that to change. We haven't had severe storms, for which I'm thankful, but nice rolling thunder type ones that are almost comforting. :-)
Your new panel is darling and I'm glad you're feeling so much better and getting things done again.
I like to get rotisserie chicken at Costco and used to get it often in Spokane but Costco is quite a drive from us now and the price of gas, we don't go anymore often than necessary. We're trying to save our fuel money for a trip to Spokane later in the summer to see all of our friends.
Take care Sam and stay well. I'm praying for you.
Blessings and love,
Betsy

Great that you're on the mend and making the most of it by all accounts. Your new fabrics are just darling. I got the 'Swedish Death Cleaning' from the library the other day. I haven't had time to look at it yet! So much for my valiant attempts at the decluttering. You seem to achieve so much in a week.

Very happy to hear you are feeling better. Also, relieved to know the drive to the vet wasn't bad. Hope Thursday's trip was equally as smooth. Cute fabric, I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
