After brunch I went on to make pumpkin pie..........
I decided against the turkey for today as I have one more meal of stuffed squash and Waldorf salad to finish so I'll make the turkey tomorrow along with the sides.
I worked on my Coming to America cross stitch............
I browsed the web looking for a Christmas quilt to make or a pattern using my Christmas fabrics...........here are a few I liked............just something small and simple...........
I was inspired by the latest podcast by Celeste Creates..........she had some darling Christmas quilts that were so inspiring! I say every year that I am going to make a Christmas quilt of some sort but so far I haven't. Maybe this year will be different.
I also searched on You Tube and found Thanksgiving music and movies! They even had the 2020 Thanksgiving Day parade to watch. It's virtual for everyone this year.
I'll leave you with a little humor........

Lots of lucky turkeys this year. We bought a small ham and I have seen a lot of others who didn't want to fix a huge bird, too!
We've tended toward non-traditional Thanksgiving meals for a number of years now. When we decided to do a distance Thanksgiving with our sons I started wondering what we might have to eat. Just as I was contemplating not having to cook, Hub said, "You know what I'd like to have for our Thanksgiving meal?" Me, eager to hear what new thing he thought of, asked with a note of interest, "No, what?" To which he replied as if it was the best idea in the world, "Turkey."
So I made a fairly traditional Thanksgiving meal. It was good. Not terribly hard to pull together in the end. And he did the dishes.

Those quilts are so pretty. I would have a hard time choosing between numbers 2 and 3.

Wonderful blog! Thanksgiving means giving time to the loved one and eating food at the same time. What could be better? Unfortunately, when in-person thanksgiving party is quite difficult these days due to pandemic.
