A day late and a dollar short!!!

I got busy this morning cooking as I didn't make much yesterday except pumpkin pie.  For Thanksgiving anyway.  So the turkey (breast) is cooked...

the cranberry sauce is made..........

the sweet potato casserole is ready to go in the oven......

and the white potatoes are cooking...........

I did look online to see if there were any sales that I would be interested in but nothing was free.  I dragged out my rag rug to work on again and sewed more strips together..........

I got a sweet Thanksgiving card from my daughter and her family.............

I found myself already making plans for 2021!  I am ahead of schedule this year instead of behind like usual.  I was thinking of projects I've wanted to do but have neglected writing them down so they never show up on my radar.......no longer!  I am writing them down for sure now in a place on my pc where they will not get "lost".

Such as......a fusion blanket......here's the tutorial

and this family tree........no instructions but I think it's fairly easy to copy..............

Planning is half the fun!

Speaking of fun...here's a little humor for today..........

Happy Trails!!!

Your dinner looks very yummy. We call it a carb feast. Good thing we only eat like this twice a year. We repeat this for Christmas. Although we do ham instead of turkey. Good idea to get those lists started for next year. I like the fusion blanket. What a great idea.

Mmmm. That turkey breast looks perfectly done. I like your 2021 dreamin'. And that mug is pretty funny. I actually get told I look familiar a lot. Or at least I used to - with a mask on, nobody looks familiar. Or everyone looks the same...

My husband uses that line quite frequently especially with nurses:) I am not amused by him sometimes. One time a cashier asked for my ID and he said hand over that new one you made this morning. Your turkey breast looks much smaller than ours. We had turkey again tonight...I am turkied out:) I should make a list of projects...should:)

Hilarious mug! Your meal all looks so good. Our friends, Neal & Jenny gave us a Thanksgiving care package today. Turkey and a pumpkin roll. They had way too much turkey left over and knew we didn't have any. Social distancing was observed during the handover! :-) I had a turkey sandwich for dinner and it was delious.
I'm even further behind for Christmas now because I just started a pair of socks for my Mother-in-law. She loves my socks so I try to at least make a pair for her birthday and Christmas. Usually one or two more during the year too because she wears them year round.
Have a great Saturday Sam and enjoy your leftovers.
Blessings,
Betsy

I love that mug! I did not get the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, either. I have to say that I prefer leftovers to the actual meal. Listing projects is such a good idea. I dread to think of what forgotten projects I will find when I finally tackled the craft closet.
