What a week this has been! Last night the weather radio went off about 6 times with Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado warnings. Thank goodness it wasn't here and I checked this morning and all seems to be fine in AR....thank goodness! But I didn't get much sleep....lol! There may be a nap this afternoon! Also, the wind was really howling and it was Mother Nature cleaning up the trees. When I looked out this morning they were all bare! Just yesterday they still had leaves but POOF! They're gone!
At this time of year it is all about Christmas making although I am trying to make less for others but there is a bit....
I finally got all the sides of the Frida Kahlo basket pinned and ready to sew hopefully this afternoon....I'm not really motivated but I need to finish..........
I continue to work on the hexies as it is for me and so enjoyable! I finished another one which is #7 of 11 whole diamonds..not counting the half and quarter ones that need to be done plus the connecting hexies..........
There's no haul this week but I will be ordering some supplies........here are some things I have printed out for some Christmas makes that are "crafty"....I'm going to make a kit for the grands and all they'll
have to supply will be the milk carton.........I have to ship everything so I thought a kit would be best.
If I have time I plan on making them some aprons as they both love working in the kitchen and their mom requested these....I haven't found a pattern but I think I can figure it out............
This will be a small XS ornament for my SIL as he is a big Iowa Hawkeye fan....well...really we all are
As for my "injuries" I feel fine but the bruising was really ugly! This isn't even as dark as it was.....it didn't hurt though and nothing got broken so I am blessed! Why is it you bruise so badly when you get old? If I bump into anything I bruise! Crazy! No, I am not on any blood thinners either.

You have been busy this week. Only 4 more full hexies to go. That is great. Your daughter is going to love her bag. The lining is so pretty. Those little ornaments for the grands are precious. The buttons are so sweet on them. What cute ideas you have found for the grands to make. Sending the supplies is a great idea. You are such a fantastic Grandma. I share your frustration with increased bruising due to aging. My legs frequently look like someone beat me with no idea how the bruise happened. Sadly my hubby is on blood thinners so he always has on at least one band-aid. I didn't put a picture on my post of how I sliced my finger this past week removing desired stickers from mini clothspins to use on my advent calendars. I don't do well with blood running down my hand so had to laydown a few minutes. Fortunately seems to be healing well.
The windy leaf cleaners came through here, too this week. Poof! Looking forward to seeing what you're going to do with the hexi diamonds. I'm thinking you've told us once upon a time, but I'm afraid I've forgotten. I look forward to seeing your Frida Kahlo basket finished up, and the ornaments you'll be making the grands! It will be Christmas before we know it!
Yes our skin gets thinner as we age so we bruise easily. Too bad the rest of us doesn't get thinner:) Cute Turkey funny:) Stay safe and keep busy!!

The Lori Holt vintage Christmas stitchery is a great one to make as collectible ornaments for your grandkids. I'm stitching them individually as well but thought I would make them into small pillows. Yes, we had a wind storm too, and now our apple trees are officially leave free. More raking once the rain stops. I am impressed with the annual decorations you make for your grands. We had high winds in the cottage we were staying in and stuffed toilet rolls into the cracks around the edge to stop the whistling. Upto 80mph but we don’t get tornadoes thank goodness. I love that tip on wrapping paper and feel a numpty not already doing that...there’s rolls in our hall cupboard I will do as soon as we have an empty roll. You have a lot of gift crafting on the go, so nice to have a gift worthy family.
