Again, I was out early watering and then ran uptown to the Dollar Tree for a few items. I picked up my grocery order at 10:00 a.m. and it was already 96. By the time I got home it was 98. I got the mail and brought the groceries in and I was done with "outside" anything. I feel so bad for the animals. At least the lake is across the street so they can get water and "take a dip" if they want to.
I got another book in the mail...this is the second Reader's Digest Select Editions book I've gotten. I search for a book I want and for the same price of a single book I can get the book I wanted plus 3 more. The last Select Editions book I bought, I read all 4 stories and they were all good! I'm hoping this one will be the same. I ordered it because of the Sandra Dallas novel in it. These are not the old Reader's Digest Condensed books.
If I weren't on a special diet I would go for the "loaded" potato soup here
I watched a video on You Tube from TicToc for some yummy cinnamon rolls which I want to try....I'll share but remember I have not made these yet..........also, they left a few directions sort of "iffy"....they used canned cinnamon rolls (Great Value or Pillsbury)...they greased a 9 X 13 pan, they had 15 rolls in it and they poured 1 cup of heavy whipping cream over it. They then mixed 6 T melted butter, 1/2 C brown sugar and 2 t cinnamon and poured it over the rolls. They covered it with foil and baked it at 375 F but they didn't say for how long and when they took it out of the oven there was no foil on it....so maybe they remove the foil like halfway through the baking? Like I said, they left a few instructions out but I will try it sometime and let you know or you can try it and let me know! LOL!
I put all the groceries away, filled water bottles and now I need to go make some jello. If I feel up to it I may make some cinnamon crescent rolls.
Just remember............
Happy Trails!!!

Stay cool. Warm here too. I just came in from three hours of mowing...time for a nap!
How clever to get 4 books for the price of one. Is that thru Triftbooks or another place? Do tell. I can only imagine how hot it is where you are with all your humidity. At least here when it is 112 it feels like 112 because we have no humidity to speak of. Well until the monsoons hit, that is. And, it is easy to breath dry air lol. I want to make your potato soup but will wait until the weather gets below 90 lol.
Leftycrafter - yes, I get them on Thrift Books. Actually, right now, it is so hot that there is no humidity. When it gets this hot it dries it all up. It is breezy here too which is unusual.
Thank you for all the recipes! I'm looking forward to trying both potato soup recipes. I also want to thank you for the YOP instructions. I was able to follow them and read about the "Rules" and how to join. I think I will try something similar but not join just yet. Maybe I'll be better organized after I finishing unpacking all the boxes and remind myself what I have LOL. Getting four books for the price of one is a great deal.
