Advent Gift #2

On Day #2 of our gift exchange, Amy received the paper lanterns and she loved them and just like I thought she is going to use them in her classroom.  I received 4 rolls of  washi tape and a lip balm container with Burt's Bees lip balm that I put on my key chain..........so useful!

The other day when I was going to make doughnuts I was looking all over for my Fry Daddy which I never found but I did run across my Mother's fry unit.........in perfect shape.......unfortunately there was no cord.   I'm going to see if I can find somewhere that has replacement cords.  Does anyone know if that is possible?  I hope so because it is really nice and well made.

I made the first of the Christmas sweets........these are for the mailman......

These are homemade turtles.  A mini-pretzel, a Rollo candy and a pecan set on top after the Rollo melts.  300 F for 4 minutes and plop the pecan on when it comes out of the oven.  Let it completely cool.

I'm cleaning up around here and doing some vacuuming and putting things back where they belong.....that's a full time job!

Happy Trails!!!

We love the pretzel/rolo sweets. Some get nuts and some don't. I didn't make them this year. No one wanted to help unwrap the rolos lol. Surely the Sunbeam company has a cord to fit the fryer. Is there a model number on the fryer? Maybe you can find something by going through Google. I hope it works out for you.

The pretzel cookies look so good. I'm guessing Dennis would like those. Maybe I'll try to get the ingredients in my next grocery order. Good luck on the cord. I don't have a clue where you would find one. Maybe a small appliance repair shop?
Blessings,
Betsy

I think if you go to the Sunbeam site, they should have a place to email or call. Be sure to have the model number and any other numbers as well as the words on the front. Hopefully they can help you out or refer you to a safe site to order one. Good luck!

They sure knew how to build small appliances back in the day, didn't they? Good advice from all the comments.

I love the gifts you and your daughter exchange. You make the holidays SO much fun! I know you like the Kopp sisters series and we are both reading those books. Have you been to Amy Stewart's website? The author? She has a book club page with color pages and even paper dolls you can print out. I get her newsletter and it was sent out this week. It's always fun. Enjoy your evening! Stay warm! holiday hugs!
